Ten gaps. Each one is a place a refurbishment goes wrong.
We work alongside your contractors and suppliers. We survey, we audit, and we write down what is still outstanding. Each of the ten below is a named service with its own page. Two of them, RAAC and accessibility, carry a legal duty, and nobody else sells them as a named hotel service line. Technical terms are explained in the glossary.
Planned refresh between refurbishments
Between full refurbishments we also run rolling refresh programmes, room by room: furniture and headboard repair, redecoration, sealant and grout renewal, and adjustment of doors, closers and ironmongery. It keeps rooms at standard and spreads the cost.
The snag list that never closed, and the retention still held against it.
NOBODY ELSE SELLS THIS. Finding RAAC in a hotel building, and managing it to a structural engineer's instruction.
NOBODY ELSE SELLS THIS. The accessible bedrooms, routes and facilities the refurbishment did not touch.
Inspect every door, then fix what the inspection finds.
Staff corridors, changing rooms and service routes: where the works usually stop.
Skirting, architrave and the items that were nobody's package.
The first thing cut when the price came back, and the first thing guests see.
The hardest room in the hotel to refurbish, so it gets left until last.
Everything outside that needs a scaffold, done in one visit instead of three.
Before, during or after your contractor: we cost the gaps and finish what is left.
Not sure which one? Book the gap report and we will tell you, or call us.
